This novel and gorgeous design by CircleSquare for Molten Brown are perfume testers. The 'wick' at the center is a porous ceramic, and holds the scent, which you can smell like a flower.

We were involved with the making of this project from the outset, turning the prototype in resin. This became the master pattern for the moulds. To reduce the amount of finishing we made just two-part moulds and used pressurised air to pop the casts out of the moulds. We also built a platform which 'wobbled' using a motor, to agitate the resin before it cured to ensure we didn't get any air bubbles. The casts were then hand finished and sprayed.
