Job:

Sky Sports Desk

Location:

Worldwide

Materials:

Fiberglass

This was the first desk we have made for Designer Toby Kalitowski, and is an example of an evolving process which we first developed when making the Fireplace for Amanda Levete. We have taken this process further with this more recent desk project.

We began by sectioning the CAD model, and machining the parts in Polystyrene. The parts were assembled and the 'pattern' sealed with aluminium tape. We then took a Fiberglass mould from this pattern, and cast a Fiberglass shape. This was then carefully rubbed down by our team, and fixed to the frame, and finally painted to a high gloss finish.
